In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, to send additional medical assistance to the Islamic Republic of Iran in support of the State of Qatar for the efforts of Iran in combating the epidemic of the new Corona virus (Covid-19), the Qatari embassy in Tehran represented by the Qaem Acting Mr. Khalid bin Saeed Al-Muqbel, delivering the third shipment of medical assistance provided by Qatar Development Fund, to the Iranian Ministry of Health in the presence of the Director General of International Affairs at the Ministry, Mr. Mohsen Asadi Larry.

The Qatar Development Fund said in a statement that the shipment weighed 15 tons, containing essential medical equipment and supplies that were transported by Qatar Airways, and that it is part of the continuous efforts of the State of Qatar to operate air bridges from urgent medical assistance to countries where Covid-19 has spread. .

In a statement to him on this occasion, Mr. Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Kuwari, Director General of the Qatar Development Fund, stated that this continued assistance to the Islamic Republic of Iran reflects the effective role of the State of Qatar in supporting brotherly and friendly countries.

Al-Kuwari stressed that this assistance, especially in light of this crisis, is very important to provide support and assistance to friendly countries and help them to overcome and contain this crisis and fight the spread of this epidemic, which represents a threat to the whole world.

It is noteworthy that the State of Qatar has provided through the Qatar Fund for Development many urgent medical assistance to brotherly and friendly countries during this unprecedented pandemic in the past two months, and this assistance to Iran is not the first, as the State of Qatar last month sent 13 tons of medical supplies, to fill Deficiency in medical supplies needed to combat Virus / Covid-19 / emerging
