What to do

  • Check the expiry date of your passport, and make sure it is valid.
  • Apply for a visa in time before your travel date to Islamic Republic of Iran. Follow the Iranian laws and regulations regarding visa conditions.
  • Keep your official documents, such as ID, passports, airplane tickets and valuables in a safe place. Keep a photocopy or scanned copy of your passport and ID number to be used as a reference at the embassy in case of losing your passport.
  • Save the contacts of the embassy of the state of Qatar in Tehran to use it when necessary.
  • In case you have any problems please contact the Qatari embassy in Tehran as soon as possible and inform the officials about your problem.
  • In case you are interrogated regarding any issue, inform the mission immediately.
  • In case of lost or stolen passports, inform the regional police station for a police report. Remember to keep the report to apply for a "pass ticket" from the Qatari Consulate and to apply for a replacement passport when you return to the Qatar.

  • Do not give your passport to anyone claiming that he is from the police or security services before checking his credentials.
  • Do not leave children alone in big events, markets and shopping malls.
  • Avoid dangerous places in Iran (Popular alleys, some areas late at night, etc…)
