Amiri Diwan/ His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was accorded an official reception upon his arrival at the Republican Palace in Tehran today.

HE President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr Hassan Rouhani led well-wishers to welcome HH The Amir.

The ceremony began with HH The Amir's convoy entering the palace, accompanied by the cavalry; and upon arrival at the palace yard, the national anthems of Qatar and Iran were played. Afterwards, HH The Amir inspected the Iranian guard of honor and then shook hands with Their Excellencies members of Iranian official delegation and senior officials. HE President of Iran also shook hands with Their Excellencies members of the Qatari official delegation.
