I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, on occasion of the State of Qatar’s founding by Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani "may God be merciful to him", on December 18th 1878.

I am pleased to extend my congratulations to the founder of the modern State of Qatar and the builder of its renaissance, His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani "may God protect him", whose reign was crowned with successes, proudness, progress and prosperity for the State of Qatar, and to His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, and H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and to the honorable Qatari people.

As we share the joy of this national occasion with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the friendly Iranian people, we affirm that the Qatari-Iranian relations have proven to be historic, and that the relations between the two peoples are covered in love and friendship, asking God Almighty to perpetuate the blessings of security, safety, and further progress and prosperity, as long as Qatar is free.
